We got involved in this project through the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, a painting trade association that focuses on industry standards, elevating the trade as a whole and consumer awareness. It is part of my continuing education and I am proud to be a member.
We Believe in Giving Back to the Community
All American Painting Plus believes strongly in showing our gratitude by giving back to the communities that so freely give to us. I grew up in Northern Virginia, Reston to be exact, and have made this my home for 35+ years. The opportunities and the luxuries that a lot of us are afforded are astounding. I was taught that if you want to keep it you have to give it away. Giving it away is what we try to do on a regular basis through our participation in charity events. While we are out maintaining your properties there are people, charities and foundations maintaining hopes everyday. Our hats are off to those who give a majority of their lives and time to these causes. You are true American heroes. We also want to honor and encourage those who stand up and rise above their situations through these resources. Your strength and courage give the next in line new hope. Graceful Spaces & Reston Interfaith
I have two clients, Anne and Karen, who started a non profit called Graceful Spaces. Anne is a commercial interior designer and Karen is an artist and organizing expert. Graceful Spaces works with families in Reston Interfaith’s transitional housing program. They teach families and individuals household skills to maintain their homes and the values of living simply. They provide furnishings for the new home and help with a generally smooth transition into everyday living.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition & The Fishing School
Extreme Makeover Home Edition is a reality show on ABC television that focuses on home makeovers for less fortunate, deserving families and individuals. The reason it is extreme is because they tear down a home or facility and rebuild it in a week. Yes a week! That’s pretty extreme. The painter who was heading up the painting effort heard that we do good work and asked if we wanted to participate. Of course we did.
Roosevelt Street Group Home
We became involved with this project through the Painting and Decorators of America (PDCA). The PDCA is the leading trade association for painters and was established in 1884. It was formed to raise public awareness of industry abuses and the importance of using a reputable contractor.
Loudoun Lyme 5K & Fun Run
All American Painting Plus is a proud financial supporter of the Loudoun Lyme 5K and 1M Fun Run. Our friend & fellow business owner Steve Gotschi, owner of Dryhome Roofing & Siding is heading up this inaugural launch of a 5K & Fun Run to promote awareness of Lyme Disease.
