Project Description
All American Painting Plus recently completed a kitchen cabinet painting project in Sterling, VA, giving a well-loved kitchen a fresh and modern upgrade. Over three days, we prepped and painted 20 cabinet doors, drawers, bases, and the kitchen island. Using Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel in Naval (SW6244) with a satin finish, we created a durable, factory-like finish that completely transformed the space without the expense of new cabinetry.
Background/Story:
Rachael wanted to update her kitchen without committing to a full renovation. She initially considered replacing her cabinets but realized kitchen cabinet painting was the perfect solution for a fresh, high-end look at a fraction of the cost. After meeting with Sam, our estimator, and seeing our past projects, she felt confident in our process and expertise.
To achieve a flawless finish, we sanded and cleaned every surface before applying a high-quality multi-purpose alkyd primer. We then set up a spray booth in her basement to control overspray and maintain precision while spraying the doors and drawers. After the primer dried, we lightly sanded, applied the first top coat, let it dry, and sanded again before rolling on the final coat with a fine roller for an ultra-smooth finish. The final product was a sleek, sophisticated kitchen that looked brand new.
